We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to perform system testing of smaller modules/components and ensure final deliverables meet quality standards. Ideal candidates must be able to do the tasks allocated to them and learn and upskill on the competencies necessary for them to be independent QA Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop comprehensive test cases from business requirements.
- Perform functional testing, regression testing and raise risks if any in the early stages itself.
- Report and document defects in defect tracking tool following agreed-upon processes on the discovery of quality problems and ensure minimal bug leakage.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Knowledge of debugging tools.
- Provide a demo to stakeholders and collect feedback.
- Follow processes defined by the organization.
- Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards.
- Work in cross-functional teams with product managers, designers, developers, analytics and Ops teams to achieve business objectives.
- Escalate to Senior Engineers/Lead /Manager in a timely and responsible manner so that business requirements are always met.
Qualification
- 0-2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Graduate Computer Science/Applications or Engineering.
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certified Tester is preferred, but not mandatory.
